Ukraine Adoption
The program is on hold. We do not take new applications. The Program
The Ukraine adoption program is OPEN and running strong! It is a very unique program in that you will not meet your child until you are in the country of Ukraine! There is no such thing as a “referral” or “pre-identification” in Ukraine. While this may sound a bit scary, our families that have traveled have come home with beautiful children.
Parent Eligibility
Married couples must be 21 to 50 years of age. The parent's age cannot exceed 45 years more than that of the adopted child. Ukraine is not accepting dossiers from single people.
Available Children
The children are generally Caucasian with a variety of skin tones and hair color. Healthy children of 18 months and older are available. On a rare occurance, a younger child may be available, but the child must have been in the orphan registry for a minimum of 12 months before becoming available for adoption.
Adoption Process
When your dossier is ready, Faithful Adoption will send it to our representative in Ukraine to translate it, and submit it to the State Department for Adoption and Protection of the Rights of the Child in Kiev, UKRAINE. Once Faithful Adoption receives the appointment date for you, we will notify you immediately. Faithful Adoption will assign you a driver and an interpreter for all adoption related services. After meeting a child personally, you will sign all required papers, and your coordinator will file the necessary paperwork to the court.
Travel
Both parents are required to travel for one trip. After receiving the invitation to travel, preparations can be made for the trip. The trip will average four to five weeks in length.
