Our success story starts like this. First and foremost we want to thank Faithful Adoption and all the staff for all their help, support and prayers to get us through both of our adoptions. Without you and the guidance of our Heavenly Father it would have never happened! Diana Skaggs guided us through both adoptions like the pro she is. Diana you are wonderful! You are such a true leader with Faithful Adoption and now a true family friend for life. We love you!
Over two years ago my husband Chris and I decided to adopt a little boy. Our success story with our little boy Matthew (first adoption) has already been posted under FCF Success Stories. It was wonderful. Please read about this adoption in the Success Stories section.
Not long after adopting Matthew, we started talking about adopting another child from Taiwan, but this time a little girl. With the help and support again of Diana Skaggs and Faithful - that wonderful adoption happened a little over a year ago.
We spoke with Diana in length about adopting another little one and she was so excited and said "let's go for it". Lets pray about it and put it in the Lords hands and start working on this right away. Only ten months after adopting Matthew we received a phone call from our agency asking if we would be interested in an infant. We were thinking more like a "two" year old. I was so surprised and the first thing that came out of my mouth was "YES", but of course I have to talk to my husband Chris and we will get back with you ASAP. I hung up the phone and ran into the room with a smile from ear to ear and said, “Honey, we’re going to have a baby!!!!!!!!” He just looked at me very strange and was like, “what?” So I told him all about the phone call and we at that moment started praying and then of course I was on the computer emailing Diana as fast as my fingers could type and I'm sure her fingers went right into action as always and she was writing Taiwan with questions and getting answers from Taiwan and either calling or emailing us back with her fast action as always. This little girl was three months old at the time of our phone call. Since our adoption with Matthew was only ten months prior all of our paper work was still all up to date, just had to update finger prints I believe. Our little one’s Taiwan name was E-Sun. After the adoption was final her legal name change here in the States is now "Mia" Sun.
Within three to almost four weeks my husband Chris was traveling to Taiwan to get our little Angel and to bring her home. When she arrived in the States she was just turning four months old. She is so cute, sweet and smart. Mia just had her first Birthday last Fathers Day. It was a very special day.
Mia has been such a joy and blessing to our family. We are now very complete. God does wonderful things and blessed us with Michael our biological son and two beautiful wonderful children from Taiwan. Adoption for our family and friends has been wonderful and I have to be honest and say Faithful Adoption was our rock and what a support group to help us out in every direction that was given to us. Yes, lots of prayers from family and friends were said and GOD was totally in charge of the journey we took but a long the way Diana Skaggs was also on that journey with us and what an awesome job she did. In fact because we had such a successful outcome one of our very best friends are going through Faithful and are in the process of adoption now.
The agency has high ethical standards, very honest, and so very helpful in every step of the way. Love you all. So as you see with prayer and total commitment with your agency it will happen you will have a wonderful child (children) with time and patience. Sometimes it seems like such a long road and taking so long and you get feeling down and want it all to happen so fast - over night. And so many times it does not happen that fast and with prayer and guidance along the way our good Lord and Savior is finding you the perfect child who will fit into your family forever.
