How to adopt a baby

Child Child Child

Faithful Adoption can help you adopt a baby age 6 months or older from Eastern Europe, Asia, Haiti or Central America. You are not limited to babies or children on a photolisting. Quite the contrary! Once you sign on with our agency, the paper collection begins immediately with the help of your adoption counselor.

As soon as your dossier is complete, you will begin the wait for an official referral. This referral will consist of a photo, and all available medical information. You can either accept the referral, or reject it, and wait for a new referral.

Some "paper-ready" families may agree to travel to the region of adoption when invited without seeing any preliminary photos. In this scenerio, once you have received an invitation from the Department of Education, you may travel and see several children that are within your specifications (one at a time). You then have the unique opportunity to observe the baby and speak with caretakers and doctors about the baby's health.

What should I do to adopt a baby?

If you want to adopt a baby or toddler, the first thing you need to focus on is becoming "paper-ready". Please call or write us to sign up for the process, and a team member can begin working on your papers today! In one to three months you can be a family that is "paper-ready", awaiting your official referral or invitation to travel.
